On 2018.01.05 the European Patent Office granted Ferentis the European patent for its Regenerative Prostheses as Alternatives to Donor Corneas for Transplantation. The invention embodies regenerative prosthesis of a cornea organ of a human eye, a combined, dual-function regeneration promoting implant-prosthetic device, and the method of fabricating such a combination implant. This medical device goal is to restore vision to corneal blind patients, supplementing and possibly replacing the use of donated corneas.
